I am back from my holiday~~ Yep, i MIA-ed for a wk plus cuz i went backpacking at kota kinabalu for a holiday (: it was funfunfun though i am aching all over now.. i cannot even climb down d stairs properly without my face in a distortion of pain... but it was damn worth it coz..

I CONQUERED THE THIRD HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN SOUTHEAST ASIA..

MOUNT KINABALU!!!!!!

I climbed close to 20km of mountain ehh.. frm 6/12 to 7/12.. So don laugh at the way i walk now ok!

to be exact, i climbed about 16km of mountain with my legs and the other 4 km or so with my hands... cuz it was too damn steep to climb without plunging to my death so we had to rope-d all the way up to the highest peak of mount kinabalu.. and no, there wasnt any picture taken because in that kind of life-threatening situation (at least it was to me), it was absolutely crazy

to whip out my camera and start snapping pics.

anw, here are some of d pics i took when i am past the rope parts and after descending from the peak..

and thus..

I was both mentally and physically drained after climbing from d mid mountain all the way to the top that i was seriously delirious to the max alr.. try waking up at 2am in the cold of about 5 degree celsius at the altitude of abt 4000 plus metres where breathing has became a difficulty even when brisk-walking and climbing for anuder 3 km to the peak of Mt Kinabalu from mid mountain (after tt gruelling 6km frm d previous day; we completed the climb in 2 days)

And on top of that, my heart had to keep up with the rapidly thinning of air as i ascend higher to the peak... and all i had with me was the strength, youth and d will power to conquer the mountain.. no skills. nth.. so i felt super duper accomplished upon reaching the Low's peak (an ironic name cuz tt is actually d highest peak of Mt Kinabalu -.-)

anw, HURRAY!! i finally reached the peak and got myself a certificate (: weet!! i was really on the verge of giving up already cuz i was really v. overwhelmed with tiredness, sleepiness, coldness and wadhavu's... Bt thanks to d guide who went up with us, we made it to the top =DDD CHHEERS once again..

of course the trip does not only consist of the climb up Mt kinabalu (though tt climb was the highlight of the whole trip), I saw RAFFLESIA (the largest flower in the world, i reckon?) =DD i thought it would be like HUMONGOUS but it was ok lah... its big for a flower luhh, but no big enuf for me to go, "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!" its prob just, "oohhh.. tts big for a flower~~"

One of the 8 species of Rafflesia.. 2nd largest to the 1st (duh -.-) and of about 80cm in diameter, according to tt guy, the largest is only 2-3cm biggest den his rafflesia.. o.O

and guess wad?! we had to pay a whooping RM80 just to walk through some muddy "garden" (its way too small to be labelled a forest) and see ONE blooming rafflesia.. the rest are like this..

cuz apparently, the owner of the "garden" said that the blooming period of Rafflesia is only for a wk and after tt, it just rots and become part of the soil.. we were considered lucky to be able to even see a Rafflesia in its blooming stage, as claimed by the ~~robber~~ owner..

oh wells.. OHHH!! and i went WHITE WATER RAFTING, 4TH degree at PEDAS RIVER... IT WAS DAMN SHIOK OKKKKK!!!! omgomgomg!! super duper ultra fun!! though it wasnt as accomplishing as the kinabalu climb, it was much more fun!! all those bumps, sudden plunges, dropping of the heart and mad screams... i was SUPER DAMN HIGH ok! =DDDDDDD

we grouped up with 3 other koreans, along with a crazy rafter and the whole time was nth but HIGHNESS...!!! the rafter kept throwing us into the river when d waters r more still.. There was this poor korean girl who was flung off the raft like a million times and i gt flung off a million times too for trying to save her and when i was not on guard.. So during the calmer moments of the rafting, we spent most of our time in the water -.O

i dont have soft copies of the rafting pics so i will only post them up after i scan in the pictures that the rafting crew took for us whilst we were rafting through the rapids.. we bought the videos too!!! =DDD teeheehee!!

OHHHH!! and i saw Pitcher Plant at Porings too!! THEY LOOK SO NICE AND ATTRACTIVE LUHH, but are actually scheming lil carnivores! tsk tsk!!

see see!!! so pretty ryte? but look closely inside! all juices of the insects it had trapped and devored! *shudders* its just like using "MEI REN JI" lahhh.. lol, suddenly remind mi of HANTU TEKTEK!! gahgahgah!!

hmm.. lets see.. wad other interesting stuffs i can blog about.. OOOHHHH!! i sat on a train, FINALLY!! after the many yrs of "daddy!!! i wan to sit on a real train!! not the ones we have in sg!!", i sat on a very very old train in Sabah... =D it wasnt as nice as those tt i've seen on postcards and in movies, bt it was a really good experience

at the entrance of d train station wher everything still looks quite glam.....

until u enter the 40 plus yrs old train...!

but it was ok luhh, like i said, it was really an eye-opener for me and no matter wher we are, so long as ther's mi and my sis, we can zi-high anytime and keep all of us entertained =)

AND ZOMG!!! I noe this is damn SUAGU but GUESS WAD again? I LIVED IN THIS COOLEST LODGE EVER!!

and if u tink this is it den u are wrong! CUZ THER'S A FRIGGING COOL FIREPLACE INSIDE. gosh!! mi and my sis went googoo and gaga when we saw it. damn chic ok!
